There are several steps that Aperian Global takes to ensure the quality and accuracy of the content for each country that is represented in GlobeSmart:

Literature Survey
Aperian Global’s editorial team first conducts a literature review of recent publications for each country in GlobeSmart. The reviewers search for books, articles and newsletters that have been written in the last 3 years that contain useful information on the specific business topics that are covered in GlobeSmart.

Interviews
The editorial team then conducts interviews with selected expatriates, business travelers, and local country nationals, each of whom have been referred from Aperian Global's broad network of clients and associates. Interviewees are selected based on the extent of their experience working in and with the target culture.

Initial Draft
The editorial team then compiles the data from the literature survey and interviews, checks for inconsistencies, and drafts an initial document for the target country.

Expert Critique
The editorial team submits this draft for review by consultants and trainers whose job it is to teach and coach business personnel on issues pertaining to working effectively with the target culture. These experts critique the draft, edit the content, and submit the final version for posting on GlobeSmart.

On-going User Input
GlobeSmart material is also continuously updated via the "FieldNotes" feature. At the bottom of each section of GlobeSmart content is an "Add Your Experiences" button that allows any user to send his or her comments pertaining to that section to Aperian Global. The editorial team, with the help of consultants and trainers, then decides whether or not the comment should be added to the existing content. If the comment is found to be both accurate and useful, it is appended to the bottom of the appropriate content category in a section called "FieldNotes – Comments from other GlobeSmart Users."

Annual Review
In addition, to this drafting process, Aperian Global conducts an annual review of the content for each country, updating and editing material with the help of country experts, consultants and trainers for each country.
